To our athletes and Cambridge Jets Family,

Our heart breaks that today black men, women and children cannot run safely in their communities. The Cambridge Jets stands against police brutality and stands with all those peacefully protesting. We hope one day change will come.

If you are new to the Jets make sure you subscribe to the Jets email list.  It is the primary way we communicate with families.

We will follow the state guidelines for outdoor youth sports.  All athletes must wear a mask at all times and maintain 6 feet distance apart from other athletes and coaches.  We will have the athletes run in every other lane and have staggered starts for their practices.  We will also have areas designated where they can leave their belongings and water bottle.  Danehy park does not have water fountain so you must bring a water bottle.  The bathrooms are locked and there are no port-a-potties.  To use a toilet you must go to the stores in Fresh Pond shopping area (Wholefoods or TJMaxx)

Because of these safety regulations, if your child does not follow directions and maintains the required distance, they will be sent home and cannot participate in our program.  Safety is of the utmost importance.

There are stands for parents to sit, but parents must also maintain the 6-foot separations and wear masks at all times.

We are happy that the pandemic has turned a corner and we are able to practice in person again, but it is not over and we still must follow all of the safety guidelines.

So far there are no meets scheduled. We are hoping that things will change when more people are vaccinated and we are able to be in larger groups.  Nevertheless, we will have some practice meets with our athletes so they can experience competition.

Finally, Danehy is outdoors, if the weather is bad or it looks like it is going to rain we will cancel practice.  We will try to cancel and send an email by mid-afternoon of the day of practice.  Nevertheless, use your best judgment, do not come if it looks like bad weather.

If you are new to the Jets then sign up for the email list.  The email list carries over from year to year, so you only need to sign up once.  When you no longer want to receive Jets email then unsubscribe (there is a link at the bottom of every email. Sign up for email list

Snap Fund Raising for Club Championship Trip

We want the team to participate in the AAU National Club Championship this July in Florida. The meet is on 7/7-7/13 at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex which is located adjacent to the Walt Disney World® Resort Theme Parks and Hotels. This will be a great experience and fun for the athletes and their families.  Jets athletes are eligible to compete at the club nationals if they meet the Jets Qualifying Standards

We know this is a costly trip and want to maximize the number of athletes who can attend so we have started a Snap Raise fundraising campaign. You have received an email that explains the process.

Even if you can not participate in Club Nationals, we hope that you can help with the team fundraising.
